i'm using latest itunes (10.5) on osx snow leopard noticed problem on previous version of itunes before updated. i've got music on 1tb external hard drive , set correctly , runs smoothly, can play music , add new songs library. until try adding artwork albums/songs/etc. of time added fine doesn't add file, if going info section of each song, maybe track 1 , 9 not display white box while rest show shiny new artwork, info still says file updated @ same time others did go? (i noticed music track in music folder in finder doesn't have artwork thumbnail, , doesn't correspond former problem. itunes seems have bad problem embedding artwork!) because have itunes media folder on separate hard drive or maybe because used xld rip music (as apple lossless) cd collection apposed itunes (which have found doesn't produce results, scuffed cds). else have problem or have solutions? it's driving ocd part of me absolutely mad! ...

just upgraded snow leopard lion on mid2010 macbook (2.4 ghz core2duo, 4 gb ram). far, good, no real speed increases or decreases, except safari seems faster. 1 complaint, may seem nitpicking, 2 startup screens different shades of gray. during startup, there's initial gray apple screen (snow leopard?), before desktop comes up, flickers startup screen thats different shade (lion?). visual detail, reminds me of microsoft windows upgrade, i.e. unpolished. makes me feel computers more outdated is. enjoy all-that-is-apple attention detail. because original bios created snow leopard? remember old powerbook g4 doing similar after upgraded leopard.   it's normal. same thing on snow leopard , leopard, different shades of grey , blue. you're right; nitpicking.   Forums Macs ...

i purchased iphone 4 3-year contract rogers last summer, $150 (16 gig). now, there's 2 reasons want upgrade 4s: 1) speed improvements, better camera, , upgraded bluetooth 2) can rid of iphone 4, before loses value. if hold onto until end of contract (mid 2013), worthless, similar iphone 2g , 3g (and assuming still works then, seeing how battery can barely last day now, whereas used last 2-3 days when first got it) so, i'm thinking of either ebay'ing phone, or putting on craigslist. considering in mint condition, , has been wearing case since day bought (zero scratches anywhere, kept in excellent condition), how can expect it? 4s without contract (here in canada) $650 new apple, i'd cut off as can off sale of iphone 4. also, keep in mind apple selling iphone 4, 8gb unlocked, $550 now. thanks!   perhaps cl listing (not posted till 4s) give ideas. ...

has heard of this? wants put file server in windows network. go apple store salesman tells them need buy mini lion server on , solve problems. after lion mac mini refuses let connect other mac. try setting shared folder on different mac using 10.6.8 (non server ) , so.......... smb enabled, settings on pc's , mac set same work group name. files shared on mac windows users added mac shared folders, given read write permissions. firewalls set allow smb , netbios connections. hey guys, first time on site. i've got bit of problem. 10 months ago internet stopped working day in apartment. neither me, nor room mate connect. called our isp , convinced problem fixed changing network prefrences on macbook pro, though told them persistently affecting both of our computers , xbox too. walked me through bunch of changes settings , did not work @ all. when asked them me reverse changes said didn't remember got me change , i'd have call apple. after few hours internet came on , computer not connect @ all. called apple me reverse changes want charge me $60 hour talk them. got uncle make temporary fix changing computer's ip adress same on room mate's 1 number changed. can connect internet @ home. not anywhere else!! huge pain in ass, film student , need connected while i'm @ school. ideas on how revert network settings original state? please! help! also, apologize if thread same million others, can't find...
