Help! I can't install safari on macbook!

i bought used 2007 macbook off of craigslist yesterday (for friend who's in states few months - sell again) , when took home clean it, add ram , tighten ship him (he's non-mac head), had noticed previous owner had deleted safari!

so, downloaded latest safari, mounted , installed it. asked restart finish installation - so, when boots up, safari seen!!!

i've tried install 4 times no avail. made sure of it's installed location , of user account priviliges (admin); i've run permission repair.

sheesh!

thoughts appreciated!
 

you'll need restore safari system disk using pacifist or like.

tbh, might quicker erase , re-install...

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
