hello all. past weekend, imac began freezing up. it's 21.5' imac purchased around january / february (before sandybridge processors came out). turned computer off, thinking issue because computer hadn't been shut down in while, computer had been resting in sleep mode few weeks. when turned computer on (which took quite while), found finder unable used. crash every time application minimized, or went background momentarily (ie - finder crash loading safari). items on desktop barely moved, , afterwards finder crash , turn on again. today, problem became unbearable. repaired disk permissions, , tried verify disc - said needed os x disc came computer. restarted computer, , opened disc permissions disc came imac when purchased. said hard drive corrupted. repaired disc permissions again, , repaired disc itself. afterwards, wiped hard drive clean, , repartitioned it, allocating memory used 1 partition. tried reinstall snow leopard. snow leopard...

hey! problem, have bought macbook pro - it's reasonably new - , screen has frozen while using it! can't afford this. had left computer on, little while, on it's own, , while coming realized unresponsive me. screen pitch black. moved mouse around, there no changed in computer screen; remained black. so, attempted restart computer , while doing screen turned on, whole screen made of multi-coloured horizontal lines. frozen. please help! did mean? also, safari keeps on getting redirected. why happening? ps. have advice on keep longevity of computer? or in other words: know best ways take care of it? sincerely, must protect computer.   was new machine when bought it, or second-hand? if it's few years old have geforce 8600 video chip, prone failure (you'll free replacement if that's case). if has removable battery there configuration label underneath batter...

hello tech savvy individuals! call on help. here's issue: iphone can connect outgoing/incoming phone calls, neither end of call can hear other. it's complete lack of sound while in call, no static or distortion. hardware required call seems working fine.. hello all, @ work, going assigned new mac mini. pc , mac technical support, adobe software troubleshooting, , network administration on current mac (using rdc windows servers windows-specific tasks.) told can customize specs on mini, keeping around $1500. when bto of 2.5 core i5 mini, see can 1 of following 2 options while staying within budget: 1. upgrade core i7, 8gb ram , 750gb @ 7200 rpm; or 2. upgrade 256gb ssd (no other upgrades) both include apple care. option gives the best performance? use windows 7 in parallels on new mini can better support our windows users , run microsoft management console (mmc) without needing rdc server. in advance everyone's opinions.   would upgrading i7 , ssd , fitting ram option?   Forums Macs Desktops ...

ever since upgraded lion, i've seen 2010 mbp take hit in battery life. 2010 mbp, i7, 8gb, 256gb ssd. snow leopard, average 4.5-5.5 hours on battery lion, seems 2.5-3.5 hours on battery im trying monitor system best can see if process running cpu high. i'm not able find stands out.
