hi, have macbookpro mid 09 , have issues installing new ssd. had ssd (and cloned original hd) stop working. intel sent me new unit, working niceley (at least on pc). tried make clean install using lion dvd not see drive in disk utility. unplugged drive , plugged on usb docking station. drive seen during installation. before installing, removed partitions , created new 1 (using guid partition format). installation went smoothly when plugged ssd laptop not boot. have seen people first clone original drive. should (i not have original drive anymore have old macbook). laptop still under warranty, think genius @ problem (i 100% sure hard drive working). help. w.   i've had problems in past installing os on new drive when drive has been inserted internal hard drive slot, if formatted new drive first. got work booting internal drive new drive attached usb adapter, installing ...

my problem mission control other app expose (even minimized windows) want more control on "desktops" (formerly spaces). first, don't call them desktop 1, desktop 2, , on, let me name them. why not. that's neither here nor there. real problem in arranging or rearranging. when have box checked auto rearrange, easy find stuff using mc, not when swipe side side order changes, find myself swiping 1 end looking desktop/space. use mc, requires swiping mc , moving choose desktop. swiping left right easier. likewise, can avoid unchecking auto arrange box. puts full screen apps @ end , other desktops in front of that. prefer have mail first, safari second, , desktops need them. prioritize order of desktops, knowing left or right of , swiping it. i'm sure has pointed out didn't find discussion of particular issue. don't mind took away spaces grid or changed schema, mind lost ability assign on per desktop situation ...

i've got 15" mbp , trying brand new acer s231hl monitor working properly. it's attached mbp via star tech mini displayport hdmi adapter. problem can not display full resolution (1920x1080). in w7's display menu, correctly shows mbp monitor acer, , acer set 1920x1080. there still black borders around picture , there's nothing can in windows or on acer's hardware menu fill out entire screen. i've tried putting mbp in clamshell mode won't wake when use mouse or keyboard after it's gone sleep, can't sure if fix resolution issue. not having problems @ set in mac os 10.6.7. acer displays @ full 1080p without adjustment on part (gotta love macs!) issue not adapter or monitor don't believe esoteric system in windows. if has experienced or has ideas forever in debt, thanks.   just discovered amd driver comes in boot camp installer package has inco...

i have mid 2009 white mac book, here specs: 2.13 ghz dual core processor 4gb 800mhz ram osx 10.7.2 internet connection comcast here issue. ever since updated lion, have not been able internet connection higher 1.00mps. before updating normal download speed between 15-18mps without issues. updated 10.7.1 , fixed nothing. updated 10.7.2 , still doesn't function properly. have macbook pro , works fine, connected same router , downloads around 15-18mps. have tried multiple suggestions recommended users on site, nothing seems work , last thing want clean install older osx. please me   first try reset pram see if helps. if not try these steps: 1) open system preferences->network , turn of airport card. 2) in left hand pane (while airport card still highlighted) , click on - symbol. don't panic because add back. 3. close down system preferences , restart. 4...
