SSD install (not recognized)

hi,
have macbookpro mid 09 , have issues installing new ssd.
had ssd (and cloned original hd) stop working.
intel sent me new unit, working niceley (at least on pc).
tried make clean install using lion dvd not see drive in disk utility.
unplugged drive , plugged on usb docking station. drive seen during installation.
before installing, removed partitions , created new 1 (using guid partition format).
installation went smoothly when plugged ssd laptop not boot.
have seen people first clone original drive. should (i not have original drive anymore have old macbook).
laptop still under warranty, think genius @ problem (i 100% sure hard drive working).
help.

i've had problems in past installing os on new drive when drive has been inserted internal hard drive slot, if formatted new drive first. got work booting internal drive new drive attached usb adapter, installing os on new drive, , booting off new drive still connected usb adapter. hold alt key down when booting , select new drive. if boots, i'll put new drive in internal drive slot, , boots fine.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
