Problems with external display in W7 via Boot Camp

i've got 15" mbp , trying brand new acer s231hl monitor working properly. it's attached mbp via star tech mini displayport hdmi adapter. problem can not display full resolution (1920x1080). in w7's display menu, correctly shows mbp monitor acer, , acer set 1920x1080. there still black borders around picture , there's nothing can in windows or on acer's hardware menu fill out entire screen. i've tried putting mbp in clamshell mode won't wake when use mouse or keyboard after it's gone sleep, can't sure if fix resolution issue.

not having problems @ set in mac os 10.6.7. acer displays @ full 1080p without adjustment on part (gotta love macs!) issue not adapter or monitor don't believe esoteric system in windows. if has experienced or has ideas forever in debt, thanks.
 

just discovered amd driver comes in boot camp installer package has incorrect overscan settings external monitor resolutions - read on apple forum download latest catalyst control center , adjust overscan setting within program. worked great.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
