Desktop/Laptop Hybrid?

i adamantly against desktops. haven't used desktop since 2005. laptop fine.

but. have 1 issue. "always on." that's 1 thing can desktop can't laptop. if leave laptop on time, fry. leaving pc on time opens whole world of features in terms of logging in remotely. can access pc work or iphone. can select printer pc connected on if it's in same network, etc...

well. want have kind of desktop on, want connected laptop. or rather, want laptop. can have desktop , remotely or wirelessly connect through laptop? can store on desktop, , use laptop memory open , run programs? there way can have "shared folder" has of files laptop , desktop? also, in terms of "desktop" i'm thinking of getting mac-mini or that. can external hard drive? can external hard drives used desktop?

sorry if doesn't make sense, have confused myself trying figure out.
 

where did notion? it's false, btw. laptops can run time without issues @ all, shut mine down rarely, , reason put sleep carry around (or when it's running on battery, conserve energy if don't while).

far using desktop, why not external monitor, keyboard/mouse, , external hard drives if need more space, , run there? fancier , should actual separate desktop computer, maybe using dropbox or rsync sync files.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
