Looking for advise, upgrading from a P&S

hey guys,

m looking upgrade canon p&s soon. want go dslr'ish compact not big. olympus e-pm1 or panasonic lx5. takes great pix, easy use, , isn't hard on wallet.

requirments pretty simple, taking pictures can later edit on mac using iphoto. have read couple of reviews on net of sony nexs, fujiflm x100, panasonic lx5, etc. , think might want start out simpler , cheaper (still light!) first.

b&h has lx5 sale right 399 bux, remember had down 350 holidays. might have hunt deals. thoughts? should wait e-pm1 , consider or camera bigger sensor? i'm afraid if buy lx5 (where i'm leaning), other camera bigger sensor come close price , i'll have buyer's remorse.

in advance :)

what p&s own can better answer questions? want camera has interchangeable lenses? going shoot in jpeg , edit in iphoto or interested in more editing power raw files , aperture? when shot raw iphoto, edited in photoshop. don't recommend @ point.

i'm happy lumix fs15, it's snapshot camera. canon g12 can shoot in raw, need research quality more. , grow money...:)
