Resolved Max RAM on mid 2010 Macbook Pro is only 4Gb?

after upgrading ram 8 gb on mid 2010 macbook pro, see 4gb:mad:

in system properties:

availible memory: 4gb
1 slot: 4gb | 2 slot: 4gb

when place 1 slot:

availible memory: 3.8gb
1 slot: 4gb | 2 slot: -


system: lion 10.7.2
 

huh? available memory not total memory. above states system seeing 2 4gb memory dimms, use memory when on. go activity monitor, click on memory , report see. or go apple logo on menu bar, click mac, more info , click on memory , report see. if both of these places reporting total of 8gb have no issues.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
