New Macbook Pro, want to upgrade to Lion

greetings,

i'm new apple family after purchasing new macbook pro 15". it's still in box way snow leopard insignia. i'm old pc guy (since dos days) , want start new learning experience lion os. appreciate feedback on getting started. here few questions come mind.

1. know apple offering lion free upgrade within 30 days of purchase. not best clean install of lion opposed upgrading snow leopard? if so, need guidance.

2. others have said need register apple , obtain apple email address. necessary?

3. stated before, macbook pro new (still in box). i've learned of f keys have changed lion. has printing on keys changed well? if so, should return computer , exchange newer keyboard?

i'm sure think of other questions later. of recommendations , advice.

question number 1: updated snow leopard lion. had new mbp 13" purchased on same day lion launched. have had no issues ever. none.

question number 2: yes must sign apple id purchase software app store , music, movies, etc. itunes store. not need apple email account.

question number 3: function keys have changed merely cosmetic change , wouldn't return machine logo change on 1 function key.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
