batch convert videos and preserve date creation info

i have several videos in different formats want convert same format sake of both uniformity , hard disk space. i've looked @ difference in quality after test conversion, , i'm not bothered non-existant decrease in quality (especially since publication medium these going youtube).

this, i've used mpeg streamclip, , it's super-awesome. batch file tool sliced bread, toasted, glazed whisper of butter , honey.

problem comes in when @ output information... created , modified today... right now.

it's sufficiently important date when video happened i'd *almost* keep original videos @ bloated state, drifting across media bloodflies fattened after night draining hapless yeoman on sultry night rather lose info.

i'm sufficiently lazy don't want go in , change information hand (which i'm not sure how do, yet, anyway), it's more handful.

there setting in streamclip i've not yet divined allow me keep date/time stamp? if not, there tool copy metadata on between 2 files (identically named or otherwise), in batch-quantities?

edit:
there's note version 1.9.3b3 says preserves modification date of files in conversions, can't find details beyond that.

this hell question ! solution please?
