RAID Array options

i video editing , final cut pro x transcodes slower i've ever seen.....i thinking of doing stripped raid array , after reading bit seams can double performance...i have exact drives...160gb 7200 2.5inch laptop drives...if make raid array using these built in raid system on mac os x best configuration? understand using usb bus cut bus speed in half no matter what, if had 1 on firewire , 1 on usb? have 1tb drive , flash drives i'm open suggestions! thanks!
 

you're going want 2 enclosures firewire 800 , set raid 0. firewire 800, unlike usb, lets chain-connect devices. basically, each hard drive enclosure has 2 firewire ports. 1 goes computer, , other connects next hard drive enclosure. give best performance based on hardware have available.

however, might cheaper or easier external hard drive firewire 800 western digital or seagate, etc. let raid 0 in hardware, enclosure has room 2 drives.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
