MiniDP to DVI has stopped working with 15"

hey folks. use 2.66ghz dual core i7 mbp, 15", 1680x1050 res screen. use minidp dvi plug connect samsung syncmaster 2333sw doing rearranging of desk, , needed temporarily unplug adaptor laptop. once plugged in, laptop screen froze (didn't go throu e normal blue screen goes if plugged in display/projector)

bring laptop college , when plug in every night there has never been issues.

unplugged it, screen stayed frozen. mouse cursor couldn't move. restarted , tried minidp vga adaptor, hooking monitor through vga. image bad per vga standard, works advertised. tried plugging through dvi again. again system locked , didn't respond inputs.

force shut down again holding power button , plugged in vga adaptor only. blue screen appeared before settled normal. unplugged it, , ditto. tried dvi adaptor only, , absolutely nothing happened.

thought had issue, , bought new adaptor. still doesn't work.:(

has gone wrong? know? can help? :( i'm on 10.7.1 if matters.
 

try on snow leopard, if can. there's possibility it's obscure lion bug.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
