Migrating Windows SBS to OS-X Lion

hello all,

title suggests, i'll migrating client's mixed mac/windows sbs 2003 network new os-x lion server. i've done plenty of windows-windows domain migrations (including exchange email), first foray windows -> mac networking world.

accept there not migration tools built lion things ad user accounts or exchange mailboxes, curious if else has done similar migration windows ad+exchange environment flavor of os-x server might have tips prevent potential pain/issues.

have many years of experience managing networks (mostly windows/exchange), comfortable os-x, unix, , linux.

i hope so. hope comfortable command line, cause needing it.

particular reason why want migrate windows/exchange os x? while no doubt lot of flack this, windows/exchange far superior , more mature in business environment compared os x. don't know how large environment is, sbs can set in few hours , barely needing attention after, spend days set lion point of being useable, , weeks after tweaking niggles out.

far know, there no migration tools available, have set scratch. hope realize exchange lot more powerful os x mail server/calendar server. doesn't need issue can present users unpleasant surprises. aware there seems security issue network logins accepting password (see different thread in forum), don't want in business environment.

if there no technical reasons why need os x server , can't use windows/exchange, think long , hard replacing it. , after thinking it, forget in opinion, cost of such migration not balanced benefits, not long shot. if ain't broken, don't fix it.

, eats , breaths unix (mostly solaris , linux) , gets rash having administer windows.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
