Newborn Mac user....need help

i came on pc side (and wonder why took me long). specs on 27" imac 3.4 i7, 16gigs ram, ati 2 gig vram, 256 ssd internal, 3tb external firewire drive, 1tb external usb drive , 500 gig external usb drive time machine.
store photos on 3tb drive , have tried use of them wallpaper. went through menu in "change desktop backround" app. went bottom , clicked "+" sign , added proper directory. photo chose shows in box , desktop set photo....until reboot! comes galaxy wallpaper though 1 chose still shown "desktop" app.
can me?
 

i guess external doesn't wake during boot can't obtain wallpaper there. try moving wallpapers internal hd.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
