zip problem

i'm new apple (converted in june, decades of pc).
want archive ms office backup files.
had no trouble doing on pc, i'm having trouble converting command run on mac.
have running (made executable), it's not finding files.

when run:
code:
#!/bin/bash  zip -m -r -o -9 -dc -dd  /volumes/backup2048/word /volumes/*.wbk "/volumes/backup of*.docx"
i these messages:
zip warning: name not matched: /volumes/*.wbk
zip warning: name not matched: /volumes/backup of*.docx

btw - backup2048 usb backup drive , hdd2048 internal drive.

help!

when first came dos unix, did things in steps.

first need list of files need backed up.

try

ls /volumes/backup2048/word /volumes/*.wbk

should give list of files want.

next thing @ man page zip.

place read unix dos users here.

unix shell lot more powerful dos shell , can't issue dos command in unix shell , same results. instance, when shell sees *, gets expanded in place, right there in command line, list of every file in current folder, before shell looks @ next word typed after * see wanted do. there example given in zip man page uses find. find produces predictable results.

try

find . -name "*.wbk" -print

listing of wbk files in current folder , folders beneath current folder.

blanks death. how shell know done saying 1 thing , ready else? blank. there blanks on place on os x , windows folders when i'm trying set folders use bash shell commands, avoid using blanks. either use underscores my_photos or if can't avoid blanks, use "\ " backslash blank let shell know blank not delimiter character in string i'm typing.

hope helps
