It keeps crashing, over and over

honestly, feel helpless. used when had windows, vista, never got problems mac osx until recently.

it's been happening @ least twice day. i'm browsing internet, listening music, , couple of small applications open (preview, stickies, itunes) nothing more that.

safari blocks, rainbow cursor, try move around force quit or try use finder, bam, whole system stops responding, , i'm left mouse cursor working. can after turn off, turn on.

i've been experiencing lag in itunes, music stops couple of seconds.

have macbook pro, 2010, i5 2.4, 8 gigs of ram, lion 10.7.1 full updated (installed on snow leopard). note during these crashes have @ least 3 gigs of free ram.

appreciated. i'm starting think formatting everything, , performing clean lion install, though it's hard me moment, because got work on computer.
 

try uninstalling flash....the thing can think of if it's safari usage causes issue.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
