Ext HDD ???

ok, not windows on mac question, have 1tb, ntfs external hdd year old windows 7 machine stopped reading of sudden...said needs formatting. got same result plugging xp laptop. plug mbp , reads fine , able copy data external. guys think can trust hdd if reformat it? there diagnostics on mbp can run prior reformatting since has ntfs format?

first copy data on mbp , try below...

*plug in , turn on external usb hard drive
*right mouse click on computer
* click on manage
* click on device manager
*expand usb list
*find usb device usb hard drive
*right mouse click - uninstall
*turn off external usb hard drive
*turn on external usb hard drive , let find , install driver
should work

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
