Erasing personal data from macbook, while keeping some applications?

hey all,

might in bit of pickle - i'm selling macbook , need erase data. i've pretty googled part out , know how go disk utility , erase free space, deleting user. realized 2 things: when sold advertised had microsoft office , snow leopard (i upgraded regular leopard don't have disk).

so, question is: @ possible securely erase personal data keep reverting original operating system , possibly keeping office programs?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
