Another i5 v i7

hi.

looking @ imac instead of mbp don't start university next year, , i'd prefer more powerful system in room in halls , low end mbas note taking in lectures/general portability.

however, given imac buying lasting 3 years (maybe 4), worth paying £170 upgrade 3.1ghz i5 3.4ghz i7? how more "futureproof" make imac?

using imac generic tasks browsing safari, im , college work, i'm thinking messing photoshop etc 'hobbie' guess. however, want option casual game running games such civilisation v, wow, sc2 , upcoming guildwars 2 , sw:tor. think i5 still able keep mmo expansion upgrades in future?

when uni, i'll (hopefully) law student doubt software used going particularly taxing compared perhaps software engineering student

how noticeable i7 upgrade on i5 during everyday tasks? i7 2.2ghz mbp chip faster/better i5 high end 27inch imac?

price isn't of issue, getting upgrade mean me borrowing money off mother dearest, upgrade worth asking her? :d

been lot of threads lately in gaming forum, may want check out of discussion there.

however, base level i5 have plays wow great. haven't tried scii yet on imagine wouldn't play on account of being newer , more graphically intense game (as opposed more mmorpg type game).

if going mba school, recommend speccing out dope pc , building game on. mba or mpb down line lecture notes. mid / high mbps sick.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
