Macbook won't detect external display.

my 2008 white macbook running lion not detect external displays. i've reset pram , smc both no avail. have running right mini-dvi - dvi cord connected dvi - hdmi cable , plugged 32" lg lcd tv. tried on 55" sony lcd tv, didn't work.

i'll plug in macbook , screen flash light blue, , @ maximum brightness. i'll click detect displays , nothing happens. have reset computer, shut down computer, put sleep etc.

have idea can make work?
 

try known-good adapter known-good display.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
