VC-1 to H.264 question

started ripping blu rays , converting them can added itunes. use makemkv rip them, , ivi 'pass-through' mkv convert m4v can added itunes.

using 'pass-through' setting because video quality seemingly identical mkv, , takes far less time convert because isn't re-encoding entire video (file size , bit rate of no concern me, video quality).

problem is, ivi 'pass-though' mkv files encoded in h.264, , i've come across several encoded in vc-1 disables 'pass-through' setting. use handbrake convert these, don't want lose lot of quality or take 10hr per video. there way convert vc-1 mkv h.264 can 'pass-through' in ivi convert m4v, or know of program similar ivi 'pass-through' mkv converting m4v regardless of encoded with? advice/suggestions.
 

vc-1 , h.264 different codecs can't go 1 other without transcoding. you've discovered, can't put vc-1 inside m4v container either.

there no valid way of doing without transcoding.

Permissions Problem?

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
