Trouble getting iMac to print on HP 4500 using airport express

i have mid 2011 imac , ipad2 wish use wireless feature of airport express unit.

have followed instructions, , imac seems know should printing hp officejet 4500, office jet doesn't seem getting information airport express unit. hp usb cable plugged airport express unit. rest of functions wireless unit ok.

using sl 10.6.8. had similar problem before macbook pro , older hp printer, , gave , plugged mbp. wife wants able print using ipad, have more urgency try solve it.

have failed do?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
