Macbook Pro running sluggish

new forum, appreciate anyones help.

lot of these posts 1 elses opinion great.

bought 2011 macbook pro 15" intel core i7 2.3ghz 750gb hdd, bought 2 months ago.

has started running sluggish, , overheating , turning off. can take 2 seconds open folder off desktop, photoshop slow (it legit version), iphoto slow deleted causing machine freeze whenever open.

browsing in chrome moderately slow, firefox shockingly slow. constant freezing, beachballing. having force quit browsers.

have maybe 250 gbs of files on hard drive, photos in lightroom, 80gb in itunes. hanging , freezing before put photos on it.

swear had less issues 2007 macbook. tried verifying disk permissions, verify disk came no issues.

should take shop? live in country nsw australia, trip mac store in sydney came 5 hours, not having send away preferable.

advice?
 

i hate sound harddrive problem. apple let send them mail, i'd instead of taking 5 hour trip. hell, apple support guy may able solve problem without need send in!

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
