got my new internal HD, now what to do??

so ordered internal 640gb 7200rpm drive mac mini owc replace stock 120gb... , before swap drives, should do?? have few q's....

1)will restoring new hard drive time machine backup of current hd work?? (although i'm considering fresh install, how do that?)

2) have never done before, how install mac on hard drive after install it??? assume blank, going happen when turn on? how mac osx on without os on begin with?

 

if have external case put new hdd inside of partition . clone internal hdd new hdd carbon copy cloner or superduper both free down loads. need type of external hdd don't time machine. use unit hold new hdd

purchased case of them last year factory direct thermaltake during halloween sale. sold them on ebay while , kept few myself come in handy

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
