do apps with rosetts cause freezes of a mac

i have been thinking finder freezing incident posted about, & remember using epson perfection 4490 scanner. when used 1st time on mac, had me install called rosetta.

ever since, when use scanner, little slow, works, have noticed when ever try move boundary boxes crop area want scan, gets slow, not respond right away, & makes fans on mac spin louder. found less efficient in workflow, when scanning many items @ once, ended scanning whole item & white background, later crop in photoshop. found faster trying adjust in epson scan preview window, before scanning.

notice when ever use cropping boundaries in photoshop, makes fans spin louder on mac. in addition, when ever switch tools in photoshop say, paint bucket crop tool, slow, & takes 30 seconds or more switch & have mouse cursor back, works little slow, has been this.

running cs5 design suite premium, epson scan epson perfection photo 4490, & mid 2010 macbook pro 4gb of ram, snowleopard 10.6.8.

have downloaded latest drivers epson scanner, little slow.

put out here in case might know more, hope hard drive not dying already.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
