Sync two Macs

hi,

i'm helping out dad set new imac, i'm tech guy of family, have stumbled upon problem. can't figure out way sync new imac mbp.

basically, (my dad) wants 2 things synced. ical app , mail app, doesn't want of kept in cloud. basically, has mobileme account, , minute gets new email, sorts out , puts in 1 of mailboxes in mail app. (these mailboxes "on mac", in kept on mac). also, ical on mac, , not synced mobileme.

so, i'm wondering if there simple way ensure once @ home (local network) mbp both of macs sync.

ps sorry english, i'm not native speaker, hope made myself clear enough idea across.
 

well, cloud easy way , don't see why wouldn't want them in cloud. imap mail , google calendar ical sound best options imo.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
