Need help understanding iCloud

i'm not entirely clear on how icloud works exactly.. updated software ios5 on iphone 4 , ipad 2. trying test wireless sync option. downloaded tv show , synced iphone no problem. under impression once synced iphone same content automatically show on ipad. isn't case. can shed light on how supposed work.

also, aren't supposed able sync wirelessly? see option in general settings, can't figure out how works either.
 

i think ipad have plugged power right?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
