hello,
can please help.
im recording hd 1080i on sony fx-7. understand records hdv @ 1440x1080. right?
if i've set sequence in final cut pro 1440x1080. after importing footage camera check both sequence setting , video has been imported... both claim 1440x1080... good.. once export choose quicktime (keeping settings same sequence) once exported , check setting of exported .mov file in qt shows video 1920x1080? why?
want record @ highest quality camera allows. import fcp same dimensions , export raw footage same dimensions.
advice?
in advance , if couldn't tell i'm newbie , have been researching in circles week.
what concern here? hdv records 16:9 hd video using rectangular pixels. fcp converts video 1920x1080 square pixels. since virtually fixed-pixel displays have square pixels, appear thing. why feel differently?
