i have 15" macbook pro, not boot up. removed hard drive , boot external via usb , runs no issues.
when put computer not boot, computer can see hard drive when hold down options button, after picking kernel panic message restart computer (which never have gotten running external).
have tried putting in new hard drive (internal) , running osx install disk before getting choose install computer shuts off. if hold options button, while booting, computer not recognize drive , shows me start disk.
have read lot of posts people after replacing hard drive cable, similar problems fixed. there way know if cable or logic board?
hesitation replacing cable regardless of hard drive have internally, when computer starts, can hear hard drive start , light activates. if hard drive getting power mean cable fine or still possible power, recognize original hard drive, , still bad cable?
it's still possible bad cable, i've seen before. it's far cheaper replace cable logic board, makes sense try first.
