any way to use an old scanner in Lion?

i have canoscan lide 80 scanner.

website doesn't seem offer support past osx 10.4.. i'd been using in snow leopard through (horrible) canoscan toolbox app (never bothered @ specific os compatability). app powerpc application, far lion goes, i'm out of luck that.

wondered, though.. there way might scanner working? shame have go sl because of 1 piece of hardware..
 

and people lion isn't apple's vista...

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
