Ok to swap hard drives with another Macbook?

today bought 17" 2011 macbook pro replacement old 2010 13" macbook pro. 2011 1 bought used came leopard pre installed, tried upgrade lion had few problems when restarting computer.

old 2010 macbook working fine, ok take old hard drive , put in new macbook? there problems?
 

why don't try it? it's not it's time consuming.

fwiw, don't think it's idea, i'm pretty sure if 2010 mbp running latest version of everything, work.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
