IMac slow as molasses

i operating imac snowleapord osx 10.6.8 when first go on line first 1 or 2 web sites load fast after gets very slow. when click open site status says "stopped" after after around 10 15 seconds waiting transferring data. little blue progress bar goes 1/4 waits 15 seconds 1/2 15 seconds or more 3/4 wait , 100% last 10% takes 20 or 30 seconds load. have checked viruses norton , have found none. ideas appreciated. thank you!
 

go ur application folder , utilities - disc utility , verify disk , repair disk permisions!

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
