MBA vs Mbp (sorry)

ok hate thread on if gonna give me hate, dont bother reading thread.
anyway have been considering getting apple laptop while. considering edu gift card promo ends on 20th. light user 50gb itunes library primary usage be: pages, keynote, google. want laptop last while. can tell usages light, doing them often. love mba expensive. end being 1700$ plus case, disk drive, apps, etc.
on other end refurb mbp 1300. have weird thing veins stick out near wrist. makes hurt little when useing sharp edges on mbp
these pros , cons macbook air:
pros: not bug wrist (my wrist on table)
light
fast ssd
unique (everyone has mbp)
sync seamlessly apple mobiles
love look
cons-256ssd 1600$
few times worth it: no disk drive
um, have heard being damaged if near textbooks (this deal breaker student.)
again cost.

in sight appreciated. have older thread on figured how additional storage mba maybe not need 256ssd, here thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1178009&highlight=

you can current 13 i5 mbp refurbished apple $1019 plus tax. if you're going mba, go 128gb , learn live it. these show refurbished too, if can wait. (it better discount gift card apple.) mba great travel , has better resolution.

vote go 13" mba 128gb. (refurb in month or so, or student discount now)

forget 256gb. that's people need it, or can throw around cash. 128gb plenty.

can forget air being unique. they're selling hot cakes.
