after doing calculation, found great deal got on 30" cinema.. can sell profit , profit gained , spending 50-100 dollars more, can current thunderbolt display.
ill list personal pros , eventually, id know opinion too, thanks!!
30"
matte - had unibody 15" mbp , hated staring @ face time time. granted, not happening 24/7, dell 2209wa noticed more pleasing , less distracting experience (especially during day when windows near!!)
silver frame - i'm not personal fan of whole black bezel scheme apple going for.. reason why love mba!!
built in 2009 - according appleserialnumberinfo, display made in 09, not terribly old.. considering couldve gotten 30 cinema could've been 5 years old.
physically bigger - love high ppi, 108 vs 100 isn't of difference. i'm gonna care when above 200 (haha, wonder how long itll take there!). in case, literally having 'bigger' monitor. plus, having more vertical pixels, not whole 16:9 'thing.'
27"
thunderbolt , docking - pretty explains itself. love having less cables, huge plus me...
webcam - dont webcam often, when do, wanna avoid having remove mba bookarc (i dont leaving laptop open second monitor, find distracting)
led backlighting - suppose gives better contrast right? brighter whites , deeper blacks?
overall, seems 30" me practical day day use. @ same time, dont wanna invest in thats "old." thunderbolt docking tempting me switch over, glass isn't pleasing. dont hate glass , never ever see myself it.. having thunderbolt making me overlook whole glass thing.
oh , importantly, use computer typical college student. surf, email, music, movies. use aperture , cs5 nothing industrial level. know fw800 huge plus, can live having wait 5 minutes export since i'm doing "once."
i sell , latest screen, that's me getting new technology , sell old 1 if it's worth selling tho.
