eSATA External Enclosure Recommendations

well movie collection has grown point of overflowing internal disk drives. setup is:

macpro1,1 2 x xeon 5345 quad cores. 12gb ram. 5770 graphics.

90gb agility 2 ssd boot drive mounted in optical bay on odd sata port.
1tb wd black home directory , user files
3 x 2tb wd green dvd's , mp4's.
2tb external wd green in fw800 enclosure time machine

have installed sil3132 based pcie1x card give me 2 external esata ports (specs @ end of post). seems support jbod according specs. use sata disk dock drop in host of 2tb drives use backup 3 x 2tb internal drives.

question.... looking @ installing sort of external enclosure host additional space movies. think esata interface plenty fast enough primary use streaming movies within household. however, not sure if should going sort of raid setup or jbod simplicity. guess raid give me level of protection hw failure think still need other backups anyways raid might overkill.

question have been patiently waiting (sorry long post wanted give background)...

can recommend reasonably priced enclosures 2 4 disks?

btw, raid functions of either card software based, viable 0/1/10 , jbod (some claim can level 5, out nvram solution <hardware only>, cannot deal - has write hole issue associated parity based arrays).

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
