Smaller disk size after erasing of data

hi there

wanted make boot camp-partition on macbook pro (250 gb). reason is, university attend use windows-programs. started boot camp-assistent, , chose 200/50gb partitioning. after few minutes partitioning resulted in error, stating program couldn't move files. after quick google-research found had backup , erase disc (macintosh hd) , make new partition , re-install os x on it.
having done that, went boot camp-assistent again, realize disc size 227 gb!

question is: how come has disc size decreased , how 250 gb?

hope, can me, cause i'm quite useless when comes computers.
 

how did clean install of mac os x?
disk utility , show?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
