Apple replacing my Macbook Pro

i have late 2008 unibody 15" mbp apple has decided replace me (dreaded screen flicker issue). advice on specs should looking in replacement.

original specs:
mfg part# mb471ll/a
intel core 2 duo 2.53ghz
4gb ram
320gb hd
cost: $2,499

model had ram upgrade (from 2gb 4gb) , larger hd (320gb instead or 250gb) - have in standard upgrades without being custom build.

ideas of fair replacement since specs have improved vastly since late 2008? make difference chose upgraded model when doing replacement, i.e., should ask 2.2ghz vs. 2.0ghz , ram upgrade since model upgraded?

advice appreciated...
 

you'll base 15" model , nothing more.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
