gsod explanation
hello! i've owned 3 drives ocz: 2x agility 2 240gb , 1x vertex 3 240gb. 1 of agility 2s died within month , other died within week. vertex 3 have not begun using, yet, , help.
first, 2 agility 2 drives bad? after having done of suggestions on apple's page, swapped out drives computer , still didn't work. when plugging in new drives computer, worked fine. proof drives bad, not laptop.
second, best way install backup: a) install fresh copy snow leopard, upgrade lion, use migration assistant move data or b) use carbon copy cloner (ccc) move data (and os) backup onto ssd?
third, run windows, too. boot camp (and it's partitioning) break things? can install windows in 1 of 4 ways, best: a) windows 7 boot camp, b) windows xp boot camp, c) windows 7 vmware fusion, or d) windows xp vmware fusion?
fourth, i've been installing drive turning laptop off, unplugging wall, unscrewing case , old drive, screwing in new drive, , putting lid on. since have unibody, should disconnecting battery too? matter? drives die later (after use), not right on installation.
have functioning ssd in macbook pro , cannot find info on how make not gsod (if it's can avoided).
help, please!
