Unable to partition iPod or HDD.

hello,

i'm running macbook 2006 core duo, , need partition ipod classic 80gb guid. however, when use disk utility, pops saying, "disk utility internal error. disk utility has lost connection disk management tool , cannot continue. please quit , relaunch disk utility," after choice close disk utility.

find odd in no way able partition hdd either, though there large amount of space so. choices grayed out except volume scheme drop down menu , options button, unlock no other options regardless of pick.

grateful, haven't found answer anywhere else.
 

can startup reinstallation dvd , format ipod way? have tried repairing drives disc utility's repair ability?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
