iPad 2 vs. PC

i have friend, do, , i'm trying convince buy ipad 2 replace sony laptop. e-mail, fb, surf web, im's, watch videos, listen music, etc. not business stuff (spreadsheets, accounting, etc.) nor networking stuff.

said consider getting ipad if laptop do. think given uses, love ipad , easier things wants it.

there drawbacks having ipad vs. pc given typical uses? snag can think of ipad not flash. (or it?) happens when try load flash web page on ipad? i'm not trying stir pot, don't know. not own ios device yet.

think things gain using ipad heavily outweigh disadvantages.

comments, advice, opinions?

i believe if that's ipad fine. flash, can download apps/different browsers view flash, it's not bad people make be.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
