3Gs - upgrade 4.1 to iOS5

hello all,

have 3gs. version 4.1 firmware 06.15.00, unlocked or jailbroken (something requires cydia)

want upgrade ios 5, dont care jailbreak or if unlocked. if fact, prefer if not unlocked or jailbroken. did because lived in country few months.

can still on own (without resulting phone becoming brick)? can press upgrade right away, or need restore first , upgrade it? make difference?

or have go shop somewhere , upgraded?

last time upgraded phone, error came , got stuck on recovery mode. had fixed in shop, guys jailbreaked or unlocked again.


help. let me know if need other info can me. :d
 

you can use cooked software redsn0w or sn0wbreeze no more itunes install installs. unless above 6.15 baseband. not likely.

@ own risk! please understand consequences of updating 06.15.

there no way come down 06.15, , there’s no hiding baseband version apple. you’ll voiding warranty in obvious way.
if future baseband comes out critical fix, won’t able update if remains down in 05.xx sequence (then again, wouldn’t update if wanted keep unlock anyway).
starting fw 4.2.1 if have 06.15 on iphone won’t ever able restore stock firmware (it fail). you’ll need restore custom ipsws (then again, if you’re unlocker should doing that).

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
