Looking at refurb 2011 27" iMac (SSD or 1TB)

hi all. i'm looking @ picking 2011 27" imac (3.4ghz quad i7) refurb section on apple's site. when available, i've noticed there option 256gb ssd drive $400 more 1tb option. ssd worth $400? know it's difficult (if not impossible) upgrade hdd on 2011 imac because of special cable , firmware on drive why i'm thinking of ssd option.

i'll doing basic office stuff, light mid level photo , video editing, , running couple of vm's @ once. i'll upgrading machine 16gb of ram after it.

so, ssd option worth cost?

suggestions.
 

the ssd makes fast. have macbook air ssd , way faster desktop 2 times ram ,

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
