Huge Mail's Library Folder. Any ideas?

i checked on library folders. found out mail folder (located above mail downloads folder in library) has huge size, 4 gb on mbair. have been using mail since booted mac. have idea on how trim size of thing?
i'm thinking ditch mail.app , use sparrow instead. ideas?
 

first off 4gb not big mail folder. second sparrow won't fix issue. third if sure email have deleted supposed deleted if not do not this:

menu: mailbox -> erase deleted messages select accounts

may trim mail down.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
