After updating to iOS 5, my most recent backup is gone! HELP!!

the iphone update began wednesday night; before starting, attempted backup few times, , failed. update began, backup refused work well. after couple attempts errors, checked list of backups in "preferences" see when last backup recorded. said "yesterday," wasn't far back, let update skip backup, intending let phone restore prior day, should need to.

later, when itunes asked me select restore, 1 prior day missing. latest backup showed june 22. let continue, wanting have phone in functional state, somehow hoping had wrong, more recent backup. after following ios 5 setup steps, checked text messages - , showed last texts june 22.

little upset, not yet giving up, found hidden folder backups stored. latest files june 22.

checked recycle bin, contained .ipsw file. had word "restore" in file name ("iphone2,1_4.3.5_8l1_restore"), attempted use restore phone prior state holding down shift while clicking restore button in itunes (a google search led me this). after 9 attempts @ this, gave up, , brought phone factory settings temporarily, have working phone before going school. found out afterwards file operating system file , contained nothing of former settings (even though 1 forum claimed have found actual backup located in recycle bin in similar situation).

i'd have recent text messages, etc. on phone. backup phone pretty regularly, fact "most recent" 1 goes way june positively bewildering. ruining experience new ios, , phone in general.

why recent iphone backup missing, , how can back?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
