hello!
how can detect in code if usb storage device connected computer? need able move files off of device , move files on device. looked @ iokit, app documentation said used writing device drivers, not want do. helpful if point me documentation task achieve. done in objective-c.

a usb storage device should appear removable disk. hook mechanisms handling disk mount events, , working removable disks.

start nsworkspace class, , @ notifications related disk mounts: nsworkspacedidmountnotification etc.

see diskarbitration framework, hdiutil command-line tool, , fsmegainfo sample code.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
