Mid 2010 Macbook Pro Freezing in VLC after extended Video viewing

hi all,

i'm having problem in vlc whereby, after few hours of viewing, system gets extremely hot, , videos (avis , 720p mkv's) freeze few (maybe 10) seconds before resuming.

if minimise window , roll cursor on dock, responsive locks up, @ time cannot such change tabs in chrome, launch apps etc.

took in looked @ at local apple store today, , ran hardware diagnostics , stress tests, not reproduce error.

question, vlc problem? have mplayer extended have not used enough know whether problem occurs in too. warrentee expires i'm keen diagnosed @ least.

ideas?

core duo 2 model.

edit 1: replaced hard drive crucial 128 ssd.

edit 2: 13' model, i've seen 15' i5/i7 problem, same issue, effed?

i have '10 13" 2.4c2d, , have left mine hooked 1080p hdtv(37" , 51", not @ same time) playing 1080p .mkv's(bluray rips, ~12gb per movie, 10,000kbps video) day , had no problems, watching 6 or more movies in row. have undervolted cpu coolbook, don't think make difference in situation. when it's hooked tv it's on flat har surface, more or less ideal airflow(i have hardcandy bubble case though), i've never noticed gets hot.

Permissions Problem?

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
