Lion Hater Becomes Lion Lover

okay, first experience lion disaster.

-broken wifi
-very sluggish/laggy performance in finder
-safari experience in beach-ball watching
-using handbrake or other cpu-intensive apps bogged imac down bad had restart.

these symptoms same when installed on snow leopard, , when did clean install.

went far refund apple. i'll admit part bit petulant, angry apple had released os mangled (on computer).

when 10.7.1 came out tempted retry, waited week or , did time machine backup of snow leopard setup, in case disappointed again.

however, not disappointed @ lion 10.7.1! in fact, mid-2007 imac (2gb ram) has never run better! on machine runs quicker (and yes, snappier). safari running dream, , i've ditched chrome browser because safari every bit quick.

in spirit of trying out new things, i've started using launcher instead of going applications section of finder window. can't launcher better, it's no worse.

mission control fine me, too, although not being power user, don't use much.

so, since came on these forums trash broken version of lion, come here humbly lion runs on mac definite improvement on snow leopard (except missing front row!)

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
