When to expect current-gen on refurb list?

i have been hesitating on making order on new imac, want buy refurb, because discount more education discount, , product quality dollar spent ratio lot more satisfying.

right now, imac purchase the:
refurbished imac 27-inch 2.93ghz intel quad-core i7 processor
released july 2010
27-inch led-backlit glossy widescreen display
4gb memory
1tb hard drive
8x superdrive (dvd±r dl/dvd±rw/cd-rw)
ati radeon hd 5750 graphics 1gb memory
built-in isight camera
$1,569

however, new i7 sandy bridge more favourable me. there 2 refurb'd imacs on list current-gen, i7 still on $1,800.

assume once new ivy bridge cpu's come out, sandy's lowered again on refurb list? think see 3.4 ghz dip below $1,600? if so, have guesstimate of when happen? guess there trend refurb list, other things apple. hoping knew trend. :)
