i take new mac mini apple store them run diagnostics , seeking advice how best protect myself.

making backups of files prior taking in servicing.

have concerns on privacy , confidentiality respect files stored on 2 internal drives.

don't want use filevault reading horror stories un-filevaulting.

have advice on issue? non-issue apple has great client confidentiality policies , won't snoop?

have bad experience in department?

put mind @ ease?
 

backing smart thing do, in case of accidental data loss. however, wouldn't concerned apple employees looking @ data. see thousands of macs, don't have time scan stuff, and, quite frankly, stuff lot more interesting else. don't care what's stored on computer.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
